About
In December of 2006, I
registered the domain name rockthefatknot.com for my personal blog.
The name was inspired by some of the ties
Michael Irvin
was wearing while doing NFL broadcasts for ESPN. Watching Irvin in a
pre-game show, I commented to my wife:
"Man, that's a FAT KNOT. That guy is rocking a fat knot!" Since then, I've
been facinated with ties (not really sure why -- but that's how life goes sometimes).
Normally, I'm a casual guy. However, when it comes time to go to
church or attend an important business
function, I'm all about rocking a fat knot. Over the last few years,
I've published the various ties I've worn via my blog. It turns out that
a lot of people have an interest in this. I've gotten emails asking how
to tie Windsor knots, how to pick out the best ties for
'Rocking the Fat Knot', and people send me pictures of them
'Rocking the Fat Knot' to post.
Even though most people have no desire to 'Rock the Fat Knot'
(or to even wear a tie), enough interest seems to exist to
justify opening rockthefatknot.com up to the other Fat Knot
aficionados out there. I'd love to see all of the
sportscasters, business/community leaders, news anchors, celebrities, ... and
regular folks (like me) documenting their neck wear on this site.
The next time you 'Rock the Fat Knot', post an image of it here!
